Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done in canon: Okay so two of these are going to seem on the surface mutually exclusive, but they're actually quite connected. Please bear with me...
1. She didn't trust her friends enough. She couldn't get past seeing Ven as someone to be protected. She didn't trust Terra enough to tell him what their Master said. She didn't just stop and talk to them any of the times she caught up with them. Ven especially. She should have listened to him, and trusted him.
2. She trusted her friends waaay too much. (See what I mean?) She was so trapped into her "Terra would never do that!" mindset. And expected Ven to just do as he was told. She saw them too much as they had been, and not enough as they were. The same went for other people as well. She trusted Master Xehanort because her Master did. She didn't question. So I guess it isn't so much trust as... well in both cases, she couldn't see people as they actually were, too stuck on how she thought they should be. And she did more harm than good that way. (Okay so this one is less clear if you play anyone other than Aqua first. But even when she does confront Terra the first time it is in front of Ven rather than just talking to him...)
3. She was so desperate to find her friends and bring them home that she ignored other dangers and other people in need. Maybe she intended to come back to them, but who knows. She certainly never got the chance. I'd say to imagine how different things would have been if she had stopped Maleficent when Sora was still a bitty... but it is Maleficent and Kingdom Hearts, in that case at least little would have changed. Everybody's favorite dark fairy is like a weed in this series...
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done in canon.:
1. Dedicated her life to being a protector of the Light, being someone willing to step up and help people in need, worlds in need. She worked hard her entire life to be a protector.
2. She put her life on the line time and again to protect people. Her friends, yes. But also others, like Stitch. Ironically where she was so blinded to reality with those closest to her, she could see Stitch's truth. And Gantu's. She put herself in the path of danger multiple times to save Kairi, and she reached out to Sora and Riku. She even stayed trapped in the Darkness to let Riku and Mickey escape.
3. She created the Wayfinders, giving the strong bonds between the hearts of her friends a physical manifestation that saved them time and time again and rippled outward. Stitch made a wayfinder because Terra showed him his and explained it, as Aqua had explained to him. The Wayfinders wound up so much a part of the story going forward, and it is hard to say how much of it came directly from the fact that Aqua made those three for her, Terra, and Ven; linking their hearts forever.
Please list and explain the three worst (morally) things your character has ever done in other games:
1. So... there is a fine line between self sacrificing and being so willing to sacrifice yourself that you cause more problems than you solve. Aqua has done this. so much this. She and Gladio almost got the whole group killed at the waterfall when they were both so sure that the only way for the group to survive was to spend their lives like coin. She died in RC trying to save one person who refused to be saved when there were others who could have used her help. She created a rift in the group with the Star Trek crew when she decided to try to solo the end of KH III to protect them all. The list goes on. (Even in game, really, there was no world at all she could have landed on, hidden Terra then went for help? Really? How did leaving him helpless wherever your Keybalde took do anything good for him, Aqua?!)
2. While she had the best intentions in the world, when Kyrian (The one who thought women should be protected, not protectors) was injured and resting she decided she knew better than him (she did, but that's not the point) and she went and soloed their mission, solving it. Yes, that kept him from getting hurt worse, physically. But by not working together, she denied him the chance to challenge his own assumptions and prejudices and only made him dislike women even more. In the end with him, she then went too far the other way. Instead of saving him against his will... she simply sat down and died with him.
3. In X-institute... She lied. Well, more like she omitted an important truth. That version of Aqua was TERRIFIED of heights. She believed firmly that as a Master she couldn't let her fear stop her, so she pushed herself and did what she needed to do and swallowed her terror by hiding in her armor so no one would see how scared she was. There were times where she could have been given another assignment, or helped in some other way. Instead, she kept it to herself, did not tell people who needed to have all the information for planning purpose that there was a chance she could have a slower reaction time, or over react, because she was afraid.
Bonus round: She doesn't seem to realize that she isn't interchangeable with any other version of herself. So when she swoops in, solves the plot, then brings her other self out of the Darkness she then... leaves. Leaving behind that world's Ven and Terra and all her other friends, sure that since they have the version of her that belongs in that world, they don't need this version of her as well....
Please list and explain the three best (morally) things your character has ever done in in other games.:
1. Aqua is a teacher. In X-institute, she took on students who desperately wanted to help but... really couldn't. Not as they were. They were dubbed the weenie squad because most of them were super young and/or had weak powers or were physically weak for other reasons. She never gave up on them, though. She worked with them and protected, them and showed them love and acceptance. For some, she was the first adult to love and accept them since their mutant powers came into being. She really did love those kiddos. She adopted and loved and trained Roxas and Xion on Planet Speed and again in the trek PSL. She adopted and trained Sora in the datascape. She taught countless people how to be the best possible versions of themselves.
2. She does everything she can to help whatever world/reality she is in. Having seen the end of the KHIII plot in multiple variations now (none of them the way it actually ended in canon) she has a new perspective about things, and she tends to stay in any given world until she has solved as many of its problems as she can. Well, Light Vs Darkness problems mostly, though she will help with other problems as well.
3. She put her ego aside whenever the group needed it. When she really did think she knew best, she spoke up, yes. But when she knew that someone else was more qualified she was willing to step aside. When Ven suggested that Mickey take over leading, she didn't try to stay in power. She thanked Mickey for being willing and Ven for coming up with the idea. When she was in X-institute, she was willing to follow someone else's lead, even though she was technically a team leader herself.
Please put the twelve things above on a timeline relevant to each other:
1. Dedicated her life to being a force for good - ongoing. 2. Created the Wayfinders 3&4. Trusting her friends too much and too little. 5. Put her life on the line to help others - ongoing. 6. Ignored other dangers/prioritizing. 7. Omitted truth 8. Teacher - ongoing 9. Kyrian. 10. Self sacrificing too much - ongoing 11. helping every world now. (Lessons learned.) - Ongoing. 12. Putting her ego aside for the sake of the group. - Ongoing.
Do you consider your character a hero, an anti-hero, a good aligned side kick, a bystander, a victim, a fence sitter, a mercenary, an evil aligned side kick, a villain, or something else? Why?: Hero. Very much hero. She may make mistakes, but sh always tries to do the best she can, to be as good as possible. Even when things were at their worst, even when hate and revenge would have seemed justified to many, she never lost her Light.
Do you think your character should start on the Isle or in Auradon? Why?: Auradon. See: Hero. Light. Keyblade Master of Light, specifically.
Which of those two would you prefer your character to start in?: Auradon
Are you still interested in having this character in this game at this time if that preference is not met?: YEP!
Powers and Abilities: Got an hour? >.>
Keyblade Master with a Light focus, and strong magic. So... basically the whole KH Light side package. Acrobatic and agile. Did I mention Master? Because that also comes with a mastery over emotions very nearly all the time. Not in the Jedi way; she feels the full range and acknowledges and accepts the full range. But she does not let them control her. The only times she has come close to failing in this were to despair. But magical effects on emotions will have a harder time with her. Mystic Class powers in SMK Mutant powers from X-institue: she can absorb powers used on her/that she was hit with and use them herself. She can store I believe it was one in her self and up to four more in her Keyblade. She keeps healing stored at all times because in some worlds mutant powers are restricted but not magic, in some magic is restricted but not mutant powers. Nano-tech: also a gift of her time in X-institute. Her Keyblade, armor, and wayfinder from that world are all made with nanites that absorb into her skin and come out of her skin at need. She knows how to make these and can teach. One of her Keyblade form talks endlessly about space. Sorry about that. Oh hey, so Aqua knows how to drive now. That's neat.
What clothing/items did your character arrive with? (See rules and FAQ for what is allowed, feel free to ask if you are unsure): Her basic usual KH gear with her Keyblades and two sets of armor - Keyblade armor and nanites. All her Keyblades have the turn into a glider option. She also has Master Eraqus' Keyblade from the X-institute world. In her hammerspace pockets she has some food and water, healing potions, eather, munny, and a metric ton of differently designed wayfinders, along with tools to make more.
Optional- What do you have to keep in mind when playing this character?:
For as amazing as Aqua is, and how much she has seen with all her CRAU... she still does not actually know the true ending of KHIII. The version of her dark self she fought on Planet Speed is very different from the dark self she would have fought if she hadn't been ripped from canon and flung about the multiverse. In other words, what she knows is.. in part, at least, wrong. And she does not realize this.
Also... I need to remember to have her use the Space Keyblade more. It is freaking hilarious.
What mod candy, if any, does your character bring? (Aka what elements would you really like to see us play with?): She's Aqua. >.>
What else do you think the mods should know about your character or their canon?: I mean... you already know.
